pain relief in labour

salam i am 31 weeks pregnant...i hav to write a birth plan now...i used gas and air last time with my daughter...i had bad nausea and vomiting...im not sure if it ws due to gas and air...does it cause nausea???should i avoid it this time...???n what do u think about birth pool as a pain relief???
anothr thing i got a 2nd degree tear last time...is thr anything i cd do to avoid it this time???

shooting pains

salam....thr is anothr prob im experiencing these days...whenevr i try to lift up my leg...i feel shooting vaginal pain...is it normal...????

I guess there is no single best option that would work for everyone. Lots of factors need to considered, including your personal preferences. The options that you mentioned are all reasonable options. Birth pool, by softening the tissues, also minimizes the the chances of getting a tear.

In my opinion, epidural is an excellent option if given at the right time.

thnx for reply....i heard epidural increases the chances of tear coz it weakens the force of push...anyways i will try the birthpool...n will tell u how it went..i still hav 8 weeks to go...
