Entire Pakistan hockey team retire after World Cup humiliation
The four-time World Cup Hockey champion Pakistan Hockey was put into shame, when the team went down to lowly Canada 2-3 and finished 12th.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Qasim Zia sacked the national hockey management and the selection committee after the dismal performance of the team.
The Pakistani players are heart-broken. All the 18 members of the national team submitted their resignations. |

India ended their Hockey World Cup 2010 campaign with a 2-4 loss to Argentina and finished 8th, which is still better than the 11th place finish in 2006 World Cup.

Australia beat Germany 2-1 to win Hockey World Cup 2010 A spirited and rejuvenated Australian team proved excellence in field hockey and won the FIH Hockey World Cup 2010. Australia beat Germany 2-1 in the final at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. |
