Narrated Abu Hurayrah (?):
"Count two or three decades after the year/decade of Hijri 1400. At that time, the Mahdi emerges…"

Note: The second decade of 1400 hijri is 1411 - 1420, which spans from 1990 - 2000. The third decade of 1400 hijri is 1421 - 1430, which spans from 2000 - 2009. If it is counting after the decade of 1400 instead of the year then, that would mean the second decade is 1421-1430 and the third decade is 1431-1440, which spans from 2009-2019. Therefore, based on this, we can say that the Mahdi would in fact appear by the year 2019 CE/1440 AH, if not before then. |
