point and pitch hello paki yaar
there is difference b/w point and pitch. look point used for measurement of font size in MS word, for printing this matters alot. There are 72 points in one inch. and pitch is also way of measurement but the standard is little different, If a fixed font is described as 12 pitch,
you will be able to count 12 characters in each one inch space. u can say k ek area define kia jata he k ek inch men kia aa sakta he
like 1 inch=2.54 centimeter and 1 inch=25.4 millimeter
point and pitch are two both are the measurements units of font size but need to use on ur demand, aap k printing kerni he to its preffered to use points.
if u have still confusion let me know.

it may help more
look In the olden days of typewriters, "12 pitch" meant 12 characters per
horizontal inch and 6 lines per vertical inch. The equivalent in Word
is 10-point Courier New font and vertical line spacing of exactly 12
points.
"Or greater" in olden days would have meant "10 pitch" (10 characters
per horizontal inch and 6 lines per vertical inch). The equivalent in
Word is 12-point Courier New font and vertical line spacing of exactly
12 points.
"Points" is a typesetting term that refers more to the height of a font
than the number of characters per inch. 72 points = 1 inch, if that
helps.

look they write font size: 12point pitch, it means k ek type writer jis style men type kerta he wesa style ho. or type writer ka font size pitches men hota he fix. 12 pitch (character) per inch. ab aap computer per type ker rhy ho to make ur font size 12points and font style as Courier. that called 12point pitch. thats standard for printing or typewriting style
