Ovarian Cyst and Polycystic Ovarian

I need advice from a doctor

I am 36 yeras old. My rukhsati is due in October this year. I have two problems. Last year in January i missed my periods. When i consulted doctor, she told me that this is due to polycystic ovarian. She gave me medicine and my problem resolved but after 3-4 months i faced same problem. After taking medicine my problem resolved and thank to Allah i am doing fine.

In August i got sever pain in my lower abdomin. Dr. Told me that i have ovarian Cyst. She gave me medicine and after that i did not face this problem any more. She has given me some medicines to continue for a longer period of time. She did my some test. One of them was not good. I do not exactly remember test name. My harmons are disturbed and i have  facial hair problem. I have few questions.

1. Polycystic ovarian and ovarian cyst are dangerous problems and how they can be cured.

2. My doctor told me that i have less time to be a mother due to my age factor. As well as i can face problems due to Polycystic ovarian and ovarian cyst. Can you please tell me what problems i can face what is their cure and do i really have less chances to have children.

3. Is there any treatment to control facial hair problem or do I go for laser treatment. Do laser has any side effects.

I can post you my test reports. Please tell me how to post them so that any doctor have a look on them and advice me. I am really worried. I really need good advice from a doctor

PCOS:

"1. Polycystic ovarian and ovarian cyst are dangerous problems and how they can be cured."

Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a rather common problem effecting a majority of women of child bearing age. The main symptoms of PCOS include hormonal imbalance resulting in menstrual irregularities and difficulty conceiving, excess male hormones resulting in facial/body hair and acne, and abnormal blood glucose levels. Yes, I guess you can say that it is a dangerous illness and requires prompt treatment.

"2. My doctor told me that i have less time to be a mother due to my age factor. As well as i can face problems due to Polycystic ovarian and ovarian cyst. Can you please tell me what problems i can face what is their cure and do i really have less chances to have children."

Women can bear children until the age of menopause. And the older you are, the more closer you are to the age of menopause, therefore you can say that you have less time to be a mother as compared to someone much younger than yourself. Besides, you also need to keep in mind that women as they grow older are much more likely to give birth to babies with certain disorders like Down Syndrome, as compared to women who are much younger when they give birth.

"3. Is there any treatment to control facial hair problem or do I go for laser treatment. Do laser has any side effects."

Undergoing laser treatment is not going the fix the underlying problem causing facial hairs. The underlying problem in your case seems to be the excess of male hormones that are present in so many of the cases of PCOS. Instead of laser treatment, you are much better off getting proper treatment of your PCOS. And one more thing, majority of women with PCOS are also overweight. If that is also the case with you, loosing weight through diet and exercise is going to be one of the most beneficial things you can do for your PCOS.

If you mention your actual lab results than I might be able to tell you more.

PCOS:

"1. What is the treatment of PCOS. Can i cure from this 100%. "

Treatment of PCOS is highly individualised, and one size doesn't fit all. Main strategies of treatment include correction of hormonal imbalance , inducing ovulation through ovulation inducing medications, and treatment with oral hypoglycemic agents to help address the impaired glucose metabolism, and very importantly weight reduction through diet and exercise. I can't mention any specific medication names here because it is against forum policy. Yes, with proper treatment, you can have significant improvement, inshallah.

"2. What is the reamedy to solve the problem of hormonal imbalances."

Please read my above answer.

"3. Can you suggest me any treatment."

I can only give you some suggestions on the forum, but I can't mention any medication names here.

"4. My height is 5 feet and weight is 59 KG. Is it fine or should i reduce it."

You are about 4 KG overweight.

"What test results you are required, please name them so that i post you"

You should have these tests done if you haven't already done so:

FSH level, LH level, Bloog glucose levels, testosterone levels, DHEA-S levels, Estrogen Levels and Progesterone levels.

My prayers and best wishes for you.
