My wife in the 6th month Pregnancy. She visited doctor last week n doc. said your baby is healthy , normal, but you are very weak, blood ki kami b batai hy doctor ny. or ek bat jo mujy disturb kar rahi hy woh yeh keh hamara blood group different hy.
like i am Rh+ (AB+) n my wife is Rh- (B-), doc. said it could be a problem in delivery. i am very tense. please doc. or member yeh batein keh kai problem ho sakti hy during pregnancy or at the time of delivery. or kia precautionary measures liye ja sakty hain before hand. kia meri wife or hamare baby k liye koi danger ki bat hy.??
during Pregnancy Amoomun mothers blood ki kumi ka shikaar ho jati hen ap onki diet ka khiyaal rukhin or Ghur meah essy foods bunayin jin meah iron ziyada ho, vegetables esky sath sath live, apple. cherry, yeh sub blood ki kumi kay leyeh best hen or doctor jo apki wife ko during pregnancy medicine , advise kury wo baqaydghi say layin or apni doctor ko follow kurin, Rh factor or pregnacy kay bary meah apko doctor waterr and doctor kk behtur btaa sukin gay or ask from your doctor she can tell you better because she having all reports
Actually if its your first baby then there is hardly anything to worry about. The whole issue is that you have RBC's that are positively charged and your wife has negatively charged . If your baby acquires positive charge RBC's(there is a 25%) chance of this and in any breech in placenta the baby/fetus RBC's cross placenta and go into mother circulation they RBC's of fetus will be considered as 'foreign' and mother blood will make antibodies against them. In first pregnancy (no previous miscariage)the antibody level is so small that it does not hurt the fetus RBC's. However if the next fetus(in second pregnancy) is also Rh positive mother antibodies will start to kill fetus RBC's and that can lead to number of issues
1) increased bilirubin level and jaundiced baby 2)anemia in baby 3)edematous baby 4)intrauterine death of baby
so if this is the situation mother is injected with Rho(D)immunoglobulins within 72hours of her delivery or else there is an option that mother be injected at 28-32weeks of her second pregnancy with this injection if it was missed earlier(after first delivery).
Even this injection can be given in first pregnancy as a preventive measure
Dr. Waterr & Qasim i m greatly thankful for both of you.
Dr. Qasim I am in UAE & my wife is in Pak. that's y i am asking
these questions here on this forum. Wife did'nt get all these detail
which i am asking here.
I am completely satisfied by the answer given by both of you. But Dr. Waterr as u have said
"In first pregnancy (no previous miscariage)the antibody level is so small that it does not hurt the fetus RBC's"
Actually my wife got missed abortion when she got pregnant first time,
just after 10 days of pregnancy. so i want to know could it be a
problem due to first time miscarriage even it is a small period of time
pregnancy. ???
Yes it does matter. Its not the duration of pregnancy that
cause exchange of mother and fetus blood to form antibodies against baby RBC's.
its the breech or tear in placenta and membranes of fetus that cause exchange.
This breech may occur during any medical procedure done during pregnancy like
amniocentesis(taking water from baby bag for any chromosomal/DNA test) or this
breech/tear(minor/major) occur in every delivery and at time of miscarriage. So
if there is a history of abortion/misscarriage its your wife's second pregnancy
not first.
She can have this immunoglobulin injection at her 28wk of pregnancy even some
obstetrician give it till 32weeks.
If you people or your gynae are not opting for it then there is a 25% chance of
your baby having erythroblastosis fetalis that is jaundiced baby with number of
things that vary in degree of severity.
