Dr,Assalamualaikum.my wife normely menses is delay for few days around 5,days still ok.is this pregnacy ? or we check in hospital wait for report.if pregnancy then what precation requried as husband for me.i want to tell that she pregnat after 12,years my younger son age is about 12,years.so please need your advise for both of us.thanks Jazakumulaalh khair.

Pregnancy Test:

Simple why dont you get it checked with a urine strip test whether your wife is pregnant or not. Though urine strip test is a very crude method with high false negative rate but still it can be checked . you may get it checked via blood test but its a bit costly so opt for urine strip test.

if your wife is pregnant now then its your precious pregnancy.
the best advice for you now would be:
1)to get your wife checked by an obstectrician/gynaecologist for basic tests(Hb,BSL and B.p, weigt h etc)and examination that must be done at start of every pregnancy
2)get some iron,folic acid ,calcium and other supplements prescribed by a doctor
3)encourage her for daily/routine work and avoid excess strain or exertion
4)good hydration status(fluid intake etc)

Delay For Checkup

Assalamualaikum,Dr,Qasim & BR Waterr.Thank you for your advise & guide

After Six days of delay in rotine menses bleeding start for one day only on other day only a few blood marks then every thing is normel but my wife refuse to visit hospital for test she say wait for next month menses time if delay then visit for checkup what is yoyr advise.Thank you
