Pulmonary Kocks (Tuberculosis) - Is It Possible To Eradicate Completely?

Respected Dr. Rizwan
Its problem of my friend, when he was 19 yrs. old he had TB.
After diagnosis he completed the treatment and recovered. But now when he applied for  Armed forced, His chest X-ray was not clear. On  further investigation he was told that as he had TB so he can not join Armed forces.
Now he is completely depressed. I want to ask you that wether medical science has any treatment to remove all signs of previous TB illness. I think that medical name of his disease is "pulmonary coccyx " (but not sure of that name.)
We be very thankful for your and all forum friends responses.

Healed pulmonary focus of T.B.

If your friend has taken the Complete course of Anti Tuberculous Drugs and has Been declared disease free by pulmonologist/doctor via sputum negative test then He for sure Is Disease Free

BUT ths pulmonary focus of healed T.B Leison will remain there and it Only shows he once had T.b thats Now gone.. Only n only he can get T.b again if his Immune System Gets weak (due to any reasn like drugs or having HIV).. Otherwise Not.

why army rejectd him is their Own criteria.

one thing more sometimes bacteria become dormant(sleep) in this focus and may never cause T.b again and if the person gets immune Compromised the bacteria May wake up and cause Secondary T.b.

however to Knw that Bacteria is sleeping in this primary healed focus Is not Possible,so Some Countries and Organizatns Dnt Allow these People with Healed Leison.

Tuberculosis And Army Recruitment

Yes this the dilemma in Armed forces and middle east  countries where those people can't get job who have has T.B or Pulmonary Kocks in their past. Yes The healed lesion in the form of calcification may persists even for life.

"Yes The healed lesion in the form of calcification may persists even for life."

Doctor KK what u say that "It may" so it mean it may not....when this may not happen.

I want to say that in what are the conditions when this calcification does not persists.

HealeD focuS of pulmonary KocH(T.B)

Primary Healed(fibrosed or calcified) focus of Tuberculosis (pulmonary KocH) Usual Course is to Remain there as such for life time

it jst shows here was Once bacteria attackd and formed its focus-

its rare for it to udergo Spontaneous resolution,bt if it does, will on its own,no drug/chemical or food can make it do so

if secondry T.b occur IF any bact is sleeping in there n IF The person become immune deficient and THIS bact wakes (nt the new) then also ths focus will melt(liquefy) and cavitate and when treated for sec T.b will disappear
