Monday Blues: Monday is a slow day for most of us , even to think about Monday and the long week ahead on Sunday evening is quite depressing.Waking up on Monday the first thought is about reaching office/institute in time , the traffic rush ,the added work load of dropping a sibling/child at school/institute…etc Scientific reason of Monday blues There's actually a scientific explanation behind those dreaded Monday morning blues. Our internal clocks naturally operate on a day that is longer than 24 hours. By the time Monday comes each week, we've built up a sleep deficit of at least an hour. Of course, the weekend piled up home chores and facing another work week don't help matters. Simple tips to start Fresh On Monday Plan on Sunday Night: A) sleep an hour earlier than the routine time on Sunday night , rather than waking late on Sunday and sleeping late at night even more than usual time,it will give you an extra hour that you are lacking.. B) press your clothes ,arrange your files, make your briefcase/bag and even pack lunch at night to avoid the panic in morning Start Early On Monday: It may seems like a punishment to start an hour earlier on Monday but it's a key to a fresh new day, if u have time to organize yourself you will be all set for hectic routine if you are late the tension level is high, you are in a rush, you don't have time for breakfast, when you arrive at your office, people are shoving work into your face…and you become more depressed Just hop out of your bed as soon as you wake on Monday , lingering in bed would only make the misery more.. Start Fresh: A) Shower in the morning ,it's the best thing to have a cold shower to freshen you up B) breathe in fresh air before getting ready , if possible walk a few step or jog a bit C) avoid newspaper as a first thing on Monday mornings , you had enough newspapers on Sunday now don't add more pressure on your brain, no new resolutions have been passed in 1day… D) Get out in the sunlight. Bright light tells your body that it is indeed the morning and helps reset your internal clock E) Drink fresh juice/eat fruit and then whatever pleases you like coffee or tea etc. Wear/Try Something New: Wear anything from your latest shopping on Mondays … if you buy something new in the mid of the week keep it for Sunday and see you will feel better… a new shirt or a jeans a tie or even using a new pen/notebook….can make difference Excite yourself about Monday Evening: Plan a dinner or a shopping trip or a new sport activity or just a get together with old friends on Monday evenings rather than on Saturday/Sunday evenings…it will excite you more and if you had all the fun programmes on Sunday/Saturday evening it will just make Mondays more gloomy Push Back all the worries: If any of the upcoming even is bothering you or any piled up work or any other financial/family worries are there just push them back on Monday mornings , it will just add to stress and tell yourself you will think and solve them later. Be Positive and Start working: If you are having Monday blues or are being drizzly and lazy on Mondays be positive its normal most people have same feelings , talk with your friend he/she will tell u the same situation… It's the work itself that makes some of us gloomy then stop thinking about how much is to be done and just start to work ….Quit thinking and Start working!!.. preferably clean your work desk on weekends so no added piled up work on Mondays…
