Infertility (part II):Male And Female Infertility:Causes And Risk Factors
continued from part 1: Infertility(part I) : Introduction Male And Female Infertility : Causes And Risk Factors… initially infertility was considered a female problem only...but it is not so and to know about different causes of male and female infertility i have mentioned here few basic things.. Is infertility just a woman's problem? No, infertility is not always a woman's problem. In only about one-third of cases is infertility due to the woman (female factors). In another one third of cases, infertility is due to the man (male factors). The remaining cases are caused by a mixture of male and female factors or by unknown factors. The men infertility rate has increased previously in infertile couple chances of male to be infertile were 6-7% now 33%.... Reasons though not surely known but 1) cigarette smoking 2) stress 3) bad dietry habbits 4) air pollution has been attributed to it… What causes infertility in men? Infertility in men is most often caused by: 1) problems making sperm -- producing too few sperm or none at all 2)problems with the sperm's ability to reach the egg and fertilize it -- abnormal sperm shape or structure prevent it from moving correctly 3)Sometimes a man is born with the problems that affect his sperm. Other times problems start later in life due to illness or injury.infection. 4)varicocele: tororous/dilated veins inside testes.....decreases sperm count The number and quality of a man's sperm can be affected by his overall health and lifestyle. Some things that may reduce sperm number and/or quality include: drugs environmental toxins, including pesticides and lead smoking cigarettes health problems medicines radiation treatment or exposure or treatment for cancer alcohol Causes of Infertility in Females 1)Problems with ovulation account for most cases of infertility in women. Without ovulation, there are no eggs to be fertilized. Some signs that a woman is not ovulating normally include irregular or absent menstrual periods. 2)hormonal problems 3)infections of genital tract 4)Less common causes of fertility problems in women include: a) blocked fallopian tubes b) infection in pelvis(abdomen) c)previous surgery d)previous rupture of pregnancy 5)physical problems with the uterus … in shape Many things can affect a woman's ability to have a baby. These include: age (above 35years) stress poor diet athletic training being overweight or underweight cigarette alcohol health problems that cause hormonal changes Baby Making Sex Tips: As such it doesn't matter if you do sex in any position and whether the female lie in bed or not to get pregnant… previously it was thought that if female kept her legs straight up for 10min sperms will move in…these are all wrong concept but still for those couples anxious for exact method I am jotting down a few points.. Some wrong concepts: 1)Orgasm of female has no role to get pregnant , a total wrong concept and its not necessary that female has to discharge to get pregnant….. 2)Just the male has to discharge inside vagina and even 1drop of semen is more than enough to make female pregnant 1) its better to have sex on alternate days in fertile period of female(mostly day 10-18th) of cycle…. 2)early morning sex is better(sperm concentration is good) 3) missionary position(man on top is preferred) 4)its said that a pillow be placed under female backache of medium width to bring vagina and uterus in one line 5)female may remain in this position for around 20min….. 6) donot be stressed out , stress decreases fertility…..have a good relaxed foreplay and sex….. 7)when trying for first pregnancy donot be gender oriented about the child to be male…. Keeping Sperms Healthy: 1) exercise regularly 2) avoid smoking and stresss 3) more nutritious food to be taken fruits and veggie and white meat(fish) is better than red meat… 4) donot be overweight 5) testes temperature is important… wear cotton and a bit loose undergarments and pants…….. splashing of cold water and avoiding warm water is better.. 6) radiation exposure if at work better have good shielding and even tv and computer screens emit radiations… to know about tests and treatment of infertility Infertility(part III):Tests And Treatment For Infertility
