Husband Sperm Count Nil: What Should Be Done?
A.A It is my second thread on your forum. After the responses I got to my earlier thread: http://www.forum.noorclinic.com/0/husband_avoiding_semen_analysis_13606.htm
I got very encourage and finally gotten my husband convinced for a semen/serum test. The hormone profile: Testosterone = 4.5 ng/dl Normal= 4 – 11 FSH= 5.5 ng/dl Normal= 0.5-11 But the semen analysis report shows azoospermia. The semen volume was 3ml but the sperm count was Nil. I need assistance from Doctors and anyone who has similar issues. The Urologist recommended an abdomen/pelvic/KUB ultrasound but its not gotten done yet. Now when the report says a nil sperm count then does he need to get done anymore ultrasounds? We want to take all the reports together to the Urologist. My husband thinks that if he avoids intercourse for a month or more then might be the sperms production becomes normal. I did not apprehend his idea but my logic does not find it medically correct.
