re: sitarazeem With the current understanding of the scientific community, taking Dopergin (Lisuride...used to lower prolactin, treat headache and Parkinsonism) and Medicip (Ciprofloxacin...an antibiotic used to treat infection) during early pergnancy have not been found to be associated with any significant increase in fetal abnormalities. So, if I were you, I would not worry too much and decide upon terminating the pregnancy without further medical and obstetrical consultations.
You, however, have not mentioned why you were getting these medications. Anyway, I would suggest you talk with your doctor and a obstetrician (if the first physician who prescribed these medications is not also a gynecologist). Prenatal care (check during pregnany at regular interval) is very important for the well being of the mother and the baby. That is another reason for check-up with a obstetrician.
I see that you are 19 years old, and there could be some saying that early age at pregnancy is not good. But rest assured, with proper prenatal care, the outcome of pregnancy would be just as fine, and there is general consensus that physiologically it is best to be pregnant between 20-24 years. Just wanted to remove this confusion from you if you may decide to terminate the pregnancy based on your age. I am sorry if I have offended you by my writing so, but often time couples who wants to terminate a unwanted pregnancy try to find some reasons that could put their mind at rest.
Hope this helps. Congratulations on your having a baby. Life changes after being a parent in a very positive way. |
