re: khaliq_28

u are advised to consult the physician who treated ur wife for TB. there are some specific tests that can tell u that she is free from this disease. but these can be prescribed after examination. so u better see the doctor.

re: test for re conforming the tb

Needs proper examination. u better see ur doctor. we can not prescribe or suggest any test without examining the patient at this stage (as she is pregnant also and needs some precautions regarding the tests).

Re:TB: How Can I Confirm That My Wife Is Free From TB Now?

if a female took proper tuberculosis treatment and that too started before pregnancy so there is a very thin chance of her transmitting it to her babay(as within 2week of starting treatment person no more remains contagious)

if a women is 7months pregnant and has taken full course of treatment there is no point checking her being free from T.B before end of pregnancy.

At delivery baby will be checked for T.B if positive will get treatment for 6months with single drug if not then BCG(vaccine against T.B) will be given

in ur case X-ray is the way to know about it be 'cured'. which isnt that important to risk fetus even with shielding.
