 AIDS: My HIV Test Report
HELLO DR. i have discussed earlier in da forum dat i m doubtful abt having HIV,u suggestd me to go for HIV test,i got tht da report of dat AND BY THE GRACE OF GOD it is Negative(non-reactive) i will not go anything like tht again INSHALLAH.but there was a column in tht reprt in which it was written PATEINT'S VALUE:0.50 i want to know wats dat.i also want to know tht is there any chance of getting HIV at later stage due to tht mistake which makes me doubtful,although its an year back and my test was CLEAR,plz explain,Thanks a lot for ur earlier sincere guidance And time,

write ur report in detail as every lab has different ranges and cut-off points.so, write the whole report as it is printed. |

REPORT
PATEINT'S RESULT: NON-REACTIVE(NEGATIVE)
PATEINT'S VALUE:0.50
Interpretation
NON-REACTIVE:(It means NEGATIVE,When the value of the patient is less than 1.0,it is NON-REACTIVE )
REACTIVE:(It means,when the value of pateint is more than 3.0,it is REACTIVE)
BORDER LINE:(Border line are cases when the value of Patient is in B/W REACTIVE&NON-REACTIVE. i.e 1.0-3.0.when the result is BORDER LINE please repeat it after 6 weeks

correrction sorry tht is PATEINT'S Absorbance:0.50 and n,t PATEINT'S VALUE:0.50 ,but i think both r same. |

re: dovee It is clear in ur report that if the patient's value is >= 3.0 then he is having AIDS but if the value is <1.0 then it is means that he is not having AIDS . ur report shows a value of 0.5 that means u are not having AIDS.
now, be happy and never do that sinful mistake again. it was a lesson for u. |

re: dovee i know, u must have suffered alot in between the illness, test and report. it was indeed a lesson for u and for all the members who are indulged in such kind of activities. now, its ur responsibility to tell others also about the pain and tension u faced due to a mistake, just to prevent them from doing so. i think it can add up to ur good deeds. may allah forgive us all ! |

THANKS Thanks Dr,yeah true i sufferd a lot in this period almost for 8 months,i was n,t having the courage to go for HIV test,but than DR khan encouraged me,N THANK GOD i m safe,i wana suggest u all tht please don,t go for unsafe sex,just ristrict urself to ur wife,b/c Health is the Greatest Wealth ,i realised in this period,Thanks a lot Dr khan,for ur Sincere guidance N time....... |

oh wow well i have the same report but my report is this,,, HIV 1&2 Combo,,,,, Non Reactive(0.21) cutoff rate is ,,,,, 1.00 (Test performed by CMIA please note that this is screening test for hiv combo performed on fourth generation CMIA Architect i 2000(3.12) employing chemiluminescent microparticals immuoassay. this is my report is it clear. |
