Bellatrix:
While I certainly would not be of any help to you in helping you find a good gynecologist, but I would still suggest you some important things that you should start doing rightaway, while you are waiting to see a doctor. It is really concerning that you are already in your 6th month, and haven't gained a pound. Generally speaking, a pregnant lady should gain approximately 1 pound every month for the first 3 months, and approximately 4 pounds a month after that. Please be aware that lack of maternal weight gain during pregnancy is not a good sign, and may effect the health of your baby. Here is what I will suggest for you, while you are waiting to see the doctor: 1). Start a prenatal multivitamin with iron and folic acid ( It is very very important). 2). When you sleep, try to lay on your left side. 3). Avoid prolonged periods of sitting in one position to minimize pooling of blood in your legs. 4). Avoid constipation by eating a high fiber diet. Yes, being B-ve raises some issues about the blood inconmpatibility in subsequent pregnancies, particularly if your husband is A+ve. So please try to convince your mother in law and your husband that it is imperative that you start seeing a doctor. Good luck. |
