Sara Khan:
You are very welcome. Aur aap ki doaon aur kind words ka bohot shukria. I really appreciate that. Ok, now moving on to your problem. Its great that you engage yourself in regular exercise, and watch your diet. Yes, I do agree that you are carrying a few extra pounds, and hopefully the combination of diet and exercise would help bring your weight down. I do have a few questions for you. You did mention in your very first post that your period cycle is exactly 28 days, which is very reassuring, but it raises a question whether you are also ovulating or not? Have you ever undergone follicular tracking, which is a series of ultrasounds done starting around Day 9, and continuing over the next 10 days or so, to track the development of the follicle ( egg), and to find out if and when you are ovulating? This information, that whether you are ovulating or not, and if you are, then precisely when, is of prime importance for you, as you are trying to conceive. Also, as I already mentioned that you may want to get some more labs done before undergiong the HSG. Generally, all this is done before the HSG test, but still, if your doctor decides that you should undergo the HSG test, than I guess you would have no choice but to comply. But in that case, just make sure that HSG should be done right after your period stops (within 2-5 days of the last day of your bleeding), because if done any later than that, and you have already ovulated and become pregnant without knowing, the HSG may harm the baby. Having said that, I also want to clarify for you that HSG is an important investigative tool, and is certainly very beneficial in cases where infertility is caused by blockages in the fallopian tubes, etc. But since it is a somewhat of an invasive procedure, it is generally not done until all other causes of infertility have been properly investigated, and that is the precise reason why I am suggesting that you should undergo certain labs and follicular tracking ultrasounds, but your doctor may think otherwise. I wish you all the best with the doctor's visit tommorrow. Unfortunately, forum rules do not allow for the sharing of ids, but I will continue to help you here and answer whatever questions or concerns you may have. Cheers.
