 Ultra Sound Report About Cervix And Internal Os
hello please help my wife is 26 years old she is pregnant in her 18 week when we did a routinely ultra sonic the ultra sonic all the result is good except this one any one can help
Cervix : show normal length = 3.3 and internal os = 7.6 dilated

Baby paidaish se qabal madar-e-raham mai hota hai ise Uterus kehta hai. delivery ke waqt yeh Uterus se Vagina mai aata hai. Uterus aur vagina ke darmian aik narrow cavity hoti hai jise Cervix kehta y hai. yeh darasal Uterus ka hi part hota hai yeh internally Uterus se milta hai aur externally vagina se. woh muqam jaha yeh uterus se milta hai os muqam ko Internal Os kehtay hai aur woh muqam jaha yeh Vagina se milta hai ose External Os kehtay hai.
Baby mai sab se aham part os ka Head hota hai jisey ham small nahi ker saktay. lehaza baby ki delivery ke waqt Internal os, cirvix aur external os ke andar etni salahiat honi chahiye keh woh etna phail jaaye keh baby ka head os gp se guzar jaaye.
aap isey iss tarah bhi samjhe keh jab baby maa ke pait se vagina mai dakhil hota hai tu ose koolhe ki haddi jis hip bone kehtay hai os ke gap se guzarna hota hai. ab agar yeh gap baby ke head se small hua tu phir baby yaha se nahi guzar sakta. lehaza yeh maloom kerne ke liye keh koolhe ki haddi ka gap baby ke head ke lehaz se sahi hai keh nahi Ultra sound mai Internal Os ka size dekha jaata hai. ab agar Internal Os ka size baby ke head se small hua tu zahir hai keh baby os internal os yani ke koolhe ki haddi ke gap se nahi guzar sakti.
lehaza aisi soorat mai mashwara dia jaata hai keh aisi aurata ka operation ker ke baby deliver kia jaaye. baby delivery operation ko scissor bhi kehtay hai. jab se scissor operation hone laga hai tab se bachcha aur maa ki jaan bachayee jane lagi hai. warna aisa baby jo keh Internal Os se na guzar sakta ho, os ka scissor na kia jaaye tu na sirf baby balke mother ki bhi death ho jaati hai.
Note: 1. mujhe jo thori bahut maloomat thi bata di. ziadah sahi jawab koi lady doctor hi de sakti hai.
2. ab agar aap ki doctor kehti hai keh operation zaroori hai tu samajh le maa aur baby ki zindagi ke liye operation zaroori hai.

Operation to which your doctor is referring to is to place stitches around the cervix (mouth of uterus) that is to sew the cervix .
the thing you need to understand is that uterus is like an ovoid(oval) structure and its mouth is cervix like a long tube rather a funnel shaped tube and ahead of cervix is vagina(in which coitus is done)
So if this mouth of uterus (that is cervix) is too short or is too dilated or wide open the contents of uterus will fall out of it. Especially if as uterus is enlarging with ongoing pregnancy so baby can fall out of mouth of uterus even without labour (delivery time) that is it can just cause preterm (or before nine months) labour and fetus would be underdeveloped and early death
your report shows it has dilated/wider uterus mouth and preterm delivery may occur so your doctor will sew / apply stitiches to cervix to close the mouth until the baby is min 32-36weeks old and all grown up and developed
this operation is cervical cerclage that is mostly done in spinal anesthesia (regional anesthesia) to hold the baby in uterus
mostly around 14th - 18th week of pregnancy stitches are applied to cervix for its incompetence at times later in pregnancy its required to apply stitches
