specific gravity.. 1)as your urine report seems normal otherwise it can be due to contamination of urine sample that has lead to increased specific gravity of this sample
2)it can be due to dehydration that your urine specific gravity has increased as there is less water intake than lost..(vomiting,diarrhea,sweating)
3)urinary tract infection may or may not be present....3.5 pus cells per high power field can be suggestiveof infectio
4)Antidiuretic hormone production from your pituitary gland can effect the specific gravity...any trauma, stress or certain drugs do increase this hormone production
5)other cause relate to decreased blood supply to kidney...renel artery narrowing
there is no glucose, protein in ur urine sample else it is also one of the causes...or if you had any dye injected tests but you said you havnt...
if it has been a contamination, test can be repeated..
in case of dehydration u need to take plenty of fluid and fresh juices..
what i think is that u need to go to a urologist he may ask u to repeat ur tes...
else may advise u a urine D/R with urine culture(to check infection) or x-ray of ur urinary tract(normal or with contrast).. or other investigations to check Antidiuretic hormone levels...... |
