Pornography: How To Get Rid Of This?

Today I read a letter to editor in online version of a big daily newspaper of Pakistan.  The letter was an appeal to government to take action against the thelay walas around a big electronics market in a big city of Pakistan who are openly selling CD's containing pronographic material.

This letter prompted me to open this thread. My comments and questions to the forum moderators and forum members are as follows.

1. These cart holders are satisfying a demand for this material. There is a demand in the society for pornography these thelay walas realized it and started selling pornography. There are people who are seeking and are willing to buy this material. If there was no demand there will be no supply. Is it that simple ? NO.

YES if we can convert our society to a society composed of people who fear Allah even when no body is watching them then there will be no demand for pornography , right ?

But how can we convert this society to a society of humans who have angel like qualities who fear Alllah and who are all on right path / sarat a mustaqeem ?

I do not know how that is why I am asking.

2. This kind of material has been available in Pakistan. I remember when I was a very young boy one of my female cousins gave me a Urdu novel containing errotic stories to read but I was so scared of my mother , father and older brothers that I refused to take it and read it ( she showed me some parts of it ).  When I was in Matric there were students in school who possed English magazines containing  pornography and they were thrilled to share it with others. The video stores had blue movies but they would not display them openly.  But it was not so open and not so easy to obtain this kind of material in those days. Now what has changed that this material is being sold openly in a big market ?

Please do not blame Musharaf or government or West or any conspiracy against Muslims.  There are some other factors which are at play here . I do not know what ? But I want to know ?

3. There is a legal ban on sale of such kind of material but people are selling it . If government successfully keeps pornographic material from the markets what can stop the society to stay away from this kind of filth ?. If the society demands pornographic material then it will go underground, and ,what can stop people from visiting pornographic websites ? I do not know again I want to know.

I am sorry to write it all in English because it is very hard for me to write it all in roman Urdu , I can read and write some of roman Urdu but not so much. I know the members of Noor Clinic forums are very intelligent they can read all this and understand all this. You are free to translate these comments and questions in roman Urdu if any one of you wants to do so. Everybody is free to post there comments and answers to these questions in roman Urdu.

Dear Seriously.,

you are quite right, I also saw these vendors selling prono videos openly in that market, they were supported by POLICE, who catch the peoples buying these material instead of catching them, as they are the source of there EXTRA bread & butter.

Our Law enforcing agencies are so un-concious, they only wants to support these CRIMNAL peoples to get money. They support gambling spots, dating spots (Like Guest houses, Hotels & AUNTIES Home).............

If this police dept closed than you will see lots of changes occurs.

TV per aisay shows hoon jo kay aik family sath baith kare enjoy kar sakay jaisy kay aaj say 20 saal pahlay tak hota tha.
Is main gandi filmoon(Pornographic movies) kay bajay achi filmoon key demand ho.
Aisee society jehan aurteen offices main kaam karain laikin , nokri hasil karnay kay leeyay ya taraqee karnay kay leeyay unko kapray na utarna parhain ?

.....iN MY OPINION, we just need a better police system in Pak.  Whatever the reasons are, and whatever the effects are, nothing will change until people are forced to stay in a certain way.  WHY??? because generally, human nature likes all those things which are prohobited in islam and are unacceptable etically and morally as well.  Pakistanis also have a very emotional nature in general, and they are never,,,, and I mean never ever going to LISTEN NICELY AND POLITELY.  we need a good strict teacher as we have gone so wild. 

   therefore, in my opinion, only a very good and solid police system can start creating the change following by a very very good education system.  If somehow, we create this system now in an instant, we will still be seeing the fruit of it in next 25 to30 years.

Bottom line is that we need to be forced to do the good things at least at this point.
