Re: Burning Feet: What Are The Causes And Treatment?
There are a lot of causes of burning in the feet. Keeping in view your age, following could be the most probable reasons: - Allergy to shoes, stockings and socks
- Dampness of the shoes and socks
- Allergy to soap and detergents
- Vitamin deficiency especially of B12
- Chronic or long term disease related to the inflammation
- Mechanical foot causes or nerve compressions
- Lack of platelets in the blood
- Others
We can't include all of the above things as per the cause of your problem however; at your age group above are the medical causes of foot burning. Since we don't know which one is the culprit of your problem, you need to clear all of the above things. How to tackle: - First emphasize over the shoes, slippers, socks etc and try to change them if possible
- Use antiseptic soap to clean your feet. Do proper cleaning of your feet
- Use slippers and shoes with appropriate size so that there would be no dampness and the air could pass through easily
- Take proper diet so that you may get proper vitamins in your body
- Get your blood test CBC done and post here on the forum so that we can find problem if any
- Don't leave ice packs on the feet since it would create other problems
- It would be better if you go to a surgeon for your local feet examination so that any nerve compression if present or any chronic inflammatory condition could be figured out
- Take appropriate rest and avoid more walking
